John Erwin Senior Pastor Contact: 805.532.2238	John received Christ as his Savior on January 8, 1963 at West Covina Christian School. He grew up in a Christian home and eventually went to Biola College where God cemented his call into full-time ministry. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary in Practical Theology. Before accepting the position of Senior Pastor at MEVF, John was the Pastor of Congregational Life and Families at Yorba Linda Friends Church and was in a similar position at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, MN. John has a passion for families, desiring to see them strengthened and growing in their faith. He enjoys preaching the Word, and has started several ministries: National Association of Family Ministries, Life Change Ministries, and Searches for Churches. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, for 30 years. He also has 2 grown children, loves playing racquetball, eating mexican food and dating his wife! Dick Heinzelmann Treasurer Contact: 805.955.0413	Dick was born in Switzerland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1951. He earned B.S., M.B.A., and D.B.A. degrees and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He completed a career of 41 years with CITGO Petroleum as marketing manager and retired in 1998. Dick met the living Lord in 1952 as a result of "hearing" the gospel in English. He grew spiritually by the guidance of many pastors and teachers such as R.C. Sproul, Major Ian Thomas, and John Piper. He currently serves Moorpark Ev Free Church as the treasurer and as an elder. He and his wife, Sylvia, have three married daughters and 7 grandchildren.

Scott Voorman Chairman Contact: 805.376.2440	Scott was blessed with godly parents who lived out their faith. He had Christian friends in Christian schools, but still knew that he was responsible to make right choices. At age 16, following a week at a Bill Gothard seminar, he publicly professed his faith in Jesus as his Savior and Lord. He and his wife, Lynn Adele, have continued to grow together in their faith and find the joy of serving others part of God’s plan for their lives. Scott has been an elder since MEVF began functioning as a church. He has been greatly blessed by serving with the elder board and has also served on the Pastoral Search Committee. Home groups have also been a blessing to him, serving as a home group leader, as the elder overseeing home groups, and as the chair of the home group committee. He has a long history of supporting missionaries in various ways and has been involved with the missions committee.

Mark Ponds Elder Contact: 805.553.9823	Mark was born in Virginia in 1969 and had the Christian influence of several close family members during his upbringing His faith grew throughout hs youth and college years resulting in a public baptism in 2000. Mark moved his faily out to California in 2001 and began attending EVFree of the Conejo Valley. He and his wife Maggie have been involved with MEVF since it was planted. His initial involvement included helping with the church setup which involved into him leading the setup team for over 2 years. Mark has a heart for those in need and God's commandment to help the poor. Taking God's command to heart, he volunteered to lead the MEVF Community Impact Ministry supporting the local Food Pantry, Community Pregnancy Center, and ACTION. He and his wife also host a home group that is currently studying the Truth Project.
