Our mission is to become a community of authentic Christ followers by knowing Him and making Him known.
Our Core Values
Biblical Authority: The Bible is the foundation for all we believe in. Our assumptions are rooted in historical, evangelical orthodoxy. We will focus on the things that unite us rather than the things that divide us.
- Strategic Leadership: Multiplying leaders through mentoring and discipling relationships is essential. This starts with the men and pervades every aspect of our ministries.
- Transforming Grace: God is more interested in our direction than our perfection. It is not enough to be right, we have to be redemptive. We will always speak the truth in love. People take priority over programs.
- Authentic Community: People are yearning for genuine Biblical fellowship. They want to connect with God and each other. We believe people are yearning for a church that is “real and transparent.” Building community through accountability and encouragement is essential for church health.
- Active Service: Everyone has gifts that need to be utilized for ministry. No one sits on the sidelines. We are all active participants who need to be serving somewhere!
- Consistent Prayer: We will seek God for guidance in all that we do as a church, and in every aspect of our lives.
- Cultural Balance: We will be “believer targeted and culturally relevant.” Both seekers and believers will be reached. It is not an “either/or” experience. Just like inhaling and exhaling or take-offs and landings...both are non-negotiable!
- Passionate Worship: We believe that we worship God with our whole lives, not just on Sunday. We will praise God through words, music, prayer, and various creative arts that honor Him.
- Relevant Teaching: God’s Word and the Holy Spirit produce life change. Our teaching style will be primarily expositional, but will also incorporate topical, textual, and character studies. It will be practical, relevant, and thought-provoking. Emphasis will be placed on application, not just information!
- Strong Families: We will take a holistic approach to children, student, and family ministry. We will partner with parents (and grandparents!) to reach the next generation for Christ. We will value Christ-centered marriages and will equip parents to disciple their children.
- Compassionate Outreach: We must do both local evangelism and global missions. We have a passion to reach people who are far from God. This includes serving the less-fortunate in our own communities. We value building friendships for the purpose of sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
- Creative Excellence: Mediocre ministry and the status quo are unacceptable. We will value creativity and innovation without being “trendy” or compromising our Biblical worldview.
